Skinner–Rusk formalism for k-contact systems

چکیده

In previous papers, a geometric framework has been developed to describe non-conservative field theories as kind of modified Lagrangian and Hamiltonian theories. This approach is that $k$-contact systems, which based on the $k$-symplectic formulation well contact geometry. this work we present Skinner--Rusk unified setting for these kinds theories, encompasses both formalisms into single picture. specially useful when dealing with singular since: (i) it incorporates in natural way second-order condition solutions equations, (ii) allows implement constraint algorithms unique simple way, (iii) gives Legendre transformation, so are obtained straightforwardly. We apply description several interesting physical examples: damped vibrating string, telegrapher's Maxwell's equations dissipation terms.
